Omaha’s first full service vegan restaurant is here! Burgers, pasta, soup, seasonal specials, salad, pie & ice cream. Now with a full bar and soft serve ice cream.
Our group celebrated a birthday here. Everybody in our group is a carnivore but in support of trying to cut back on meat a few days a week – wanted to see what this restaurant was about. All in our group except 2 were very hesitant – especially the men. We ordered a variety of food, all sampling each other’s selections. Every person loved nearly ALL of the offerings and agreed they would order their entrees again. The mock Mack and cheese was great – and I have never liked traditional Mac and cheese. Very yummy bit of bbq cauliflower served with it that I could have eaten a whole side of. It was great mixed into the macaroni! The greens served with it were so tender and well seasoned that one group member ordered an entire side for herself after tasting. The curry was amazing with crispy green beans, potatoes and the spicy temperature was adjusted down for us perfectly. Several orders of gnocchi were scarfed down. The coconut pie was wonderfully decadent.
The restaurant is small and cozy, the atmosphere eclectic and interesting. The service was excellent. I had been given a copy of one of Ms Moskowitz’s several books and she graciously signed it. The other staff says she is nearly always working and present. The prices were a bit steep but over-all it was a great experience. The restaurant is quite a drive or us but we will most defiantly return! Thanks for the memorable evening!
